• February 1943: German troops surrender at Stalingrad; turning point of the war.
• March 1943 - August 1943: Deportation of 50,000 Greek Jews to Auschwitz
• March - June 1943: Four new gas chambers and crematoriums in Auschwitz are put into operation. 
• April 1943: After the murder of 340,000 Jews, Chelmno is closed and dismantled. 
• August 1943: After the murder of 800,000 Jews, Treblinka is closed and dismantled. 
• October 1943: Revolt in Sobibor. 365 prisoners manage to escape. The camp is closed and dismantled. 
• December 1943: First deportation of Jews from Vienna to Auschwitz.
